Step by Step Walkthrough
Prepare the Sequences in AVID
- The initial sequence is identical as 100.Prep Final Masters except for the ident - the international and domestic masters have some extra information on them
- Once the sequence is prepared, duplicate the sequence to create one HAA.{episode}.International.Master and one HAA.{episode}.Domestic.Master sequence
- For each sequence, drag the relevant title: {domestic/international} Tx Ident to the source monitor and overwrite into the sequence over the original ident.
- Update the idents with the CAT number, lock off date, duration and any other relevant information (Extended, International Teasers, etc) from the original ident
- On the Domestic sequence ident, there should also be an indication of what has changed with relevant timecodes. This is commonly a music change.
- Example Imagery for Idents -
Playout Masters
- Masters should be played out identically as 110. Playout Master Tapes
Label the Masters
- To ensure that there is a clear difference between the domestic and international masters, Thaumaturgy labels these clearly.
- There is a combined Domestic & International Label Word document that allows you to print the main label for these two masters - print a label for each of these.
- The domestic master is labelled as a normal episode, except it has the newly printed "Domestic Master" label on the case
- At this point, we have not received any international master stickers or barcodes, so we just hand write the labels as so:
Yes, the one of the spine of the case is intentionally upside down.
The red international master stickers are given to us by the Post Production Supervisor, when you run low, please speak to them about getting more
